Volunteer Positions Available

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
 
Bon Soo is February 5 – 14, 2010. We could not go on without the willing spirit of Community Volunteers like you! Most positions do not require experience, just a willing attitude! Each Volunteer must complete a Bon Soo Volunteer Application, on the form you can indicate times and positions you are interested in. Bon Soo is able to provide authorized High School Volunteer hours.
 
Outdoor positions should DRESS WARMLY and be ready to have fun in our great Northern Ontario weather. Please contact Kerrie, eventcoordiantor@bonsoo.on.ca, or phone, 705-759-3000 for more information.

Ice Slide Volunteers
–        Come to our Famous Ice Slides and give two hours of your time! Groups of approximately 10 Volunteers are scheduled to monitor the children as they enjoy the Slides. Acting as a reminder of safety, Volunteers are positioned around the Slide area to remind children to walk not run, not to climb, etc. A variety of weekend shifts available. Thank You!
 
Snowshoeing Experience
-        Join the Volunteers from the Saulteaux Voyageur Trail Club assisting visitors with their Snowshoes. Times available between 11am – 4pm each Saturday and Sunday of Bon Soo, (Feb 6, 7, 13, 14, 2010). Thank You! 
 
Sleigh Rides
-         Volunteers needed to monitor the Sleigh Rides, ensuring patrons have Bon Soo 2010 Souvenir Buttons, and that the line is waiting to board the Sleigh at the designated spot. Times available between 11am – 5pm each Saturday and Sunday of Bon Soo, (Feb 6, 7, 13, 14, 2010). Thank You!
 
Snowmobile Rides
-        Volunteers will assist children with putting on/taking off helmets, and making sure the line moves along in an orderly fashion. Times available between noon – 4pm, closing weekend of Bon Soo, Saturday, Feb 13, and Sunday, Feb 14, 2010. Thank You!
 
Dog Sled Rides
-        Volunteers required to make sure riders are wearing their Bon Soo 2010 Souvenir Button, and that the line moves in an orderly fashion. One day only, Saturday, Feb, 6, 2010, times available from 11am – 5pm. Thank You!
 
 
Tractor Shuttle
-        Volunteers needed to monitor the Tractor Shuttle, ensuring patrons have Bon Soo 2010 Souvenir Buttons, and that the line is waiting to board the Sleigh at the designated spot. Times available between 11am – 5pm each Saturday and Sunday of Bon Soo, (Feb 6, 7, 13, 14, 2010). Thank You!
 
Ovalini
- Volunteers will monitor the Ice Skating Ovalini – ensuring skaters are wearing a Bon Soo 2010 Souvenir Button, and that no sticks are being used on the ice. A variety of times available each day during Bon Soo!   Thank You!
